The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) – 3 December 2020

Indian Association Sharjah and Al ibtisama Centre for people Disability is celebrating the annual day of persons with disabilities on 3rd December 2020. The International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is annually observed on 3 December to promote the full and equal participation of persons with disabilities and to take action for the inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society and development.

This year, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities will be commemorated throughout the week of 30 November- 4 December. The IDPD theme of this year is” Not all Disabilities are Visible’ it focuses on spreading awareness and understanding of disabilities that are not immediately apparent, such as mental illness, chronic pain or fatigue, sight or hearing impairments, diabetes, brain injuries, neurological disorders, learning differences, and cognitive dysfunctions, among others. As part of this year’s IDPD program, Indian Association will be held a signature campaign under the theme Not all Disabilities are Visible’.We cordially invite your gracious presence.
